Linen Options For Wedding Venues

We talk a lot about tables and chairs for wedding venues here at EventStable, and we do believe that every venue should have their own inventory of those. What about linens? There’s a lot to consider when investing in linens and that’s where our expertise comes in.

Linens Are “The Tie”

First, think of linens this way: If your tables and chairs are your suit and shirt, then linens are the tie. Why does that make sense? Well, much like ties, linens can be unique for every occasion.

Some days are for everyday ties and some days are for fancy ties. If you don’t believe us, refer to Justin Timberlake’s popular song, “Suit and Tie”...

Owning Your Own Linens

We recommend that wedding venues carry a few basic, neutral colored linens in-house. For example, a mix of white, ivory and black linens would cover a majority of events from showers, to corporate occasions to weddings.

We suggest having a set for your round, banquet, and cocktail tables, along with coordinating napkins. This amount of linens would allow you to easily launder them in-house or locally.

Sub Renting

As for weddings and events that call for more personalized linens, this is where we recommend sub renting. Sub renting specific linens is a wonderful option for wedding venues because you can develop a relationship with the linen rental company and offer that as an added value to your prospective couples.

Now, if you don’t want to carry your own linens, partnering with a local, reliable party rental company that carries a variety of linens, is also a great option. Having industry vendor relationships is key to offering your clients a top-notch service and experience.

If it were up to us however, consider offering your clients “the tie”.
